One of the positives to come out of social media and the digital age overall is the facilitation of our ability to share. Whilst browsing on Facebook, I came across an interesting post shared by Rachel Nyaradzo Adams. Rachel shared the recent TED Talk by Vimbayi Kajese, in which she speaks candidly about the lack of representation of people of colour in the media and the effect that has on our psyche. If you watch anything today, I hope this will be it. I could never paraphrase her message and do justice to it so please watch this inspirational talk below. I will definitely be joining her movement in using my media space to promote diversity.
